We have been meaning to write something for a few days now but wanted to take the time to truly express how outstanding the service has been at Arundell so far. 2 months ago, our fur baby, Millie, became ill and we had unfortunately spent most of her insurance money on a different veterinary practice that didn’t give us any information, compassion or care that she needed. We approached Arundell for a second opinion and to transfer Millie’s care over to them as we were beginning to lose hope. Within 48 hrs, the vets, Maddie and Skylar looked through all Millie’s records and explained things on there which had not been mentioned to us at all from our previous vets! Maddie showed us what was going on internally and recommended a plan of action, giving us lots of information to think about - which our previous vets hadn't managed to do in 2 months. Millie was kept in overnight which felt heartbreaking for us but we were so reassured when we visited her to see that there was the loveliest nurse, Claire there, giving her lots of love. Anyone who loves their pets will understand how stressful it can be, especially when you can’t afford to do everything for them. We have been an absolute wreck and couldn’t be more grateful for the comfort we received from the whole team especially, Angie and Sally. Although, Millie is not yet better, we could not be more reassured that these wonderful vets are doing everything they can to help her - something which we hadn’t felt before. If anyone isn’t getting the service they need from a veterinary practice, we would absolutely recommend Arundell and can guarantee that you will leave feeling super satisfied with the care your pets receive! A big thank you from Millie, Charlotte and Alex 🐶

I have a lot of respect for the fact action of the staff I met today over the phone dealing with the Carcroft team who directed me to their nearest available vet who explained very clearly the options for my pet when she needed it the most. Very quick to examine and a fast and simple registration to their practice. Thanks all who helped and gave Miyah a fuss and made a stressful situation easier for myself and Miyah.

I am very disappointed with my experience at this veterinary practice. I took my cat for two paid consultations, during which a treatment plan was clearly established. I was told that my cat needs to be given Prednicortone daily on an ongoing basis. Unfortunately, because the vet I originally saw no longer works there, I was told that I must attend another paid appointment (£49) just to continue the same treatment. I strongly disagree with this approach. The treatment has already been established and paid for, and it is not my responsibility that the practice failed to properly record this information in their system or that the original vet has left. Due to my current financial situation, I am not able to pay an additional £49 for another appointment. As a result, my cat may be left without the necessary medication, which puts their life at serious risk. Asking clients to pay again due to internal staff or record-keeping issues is unfair and unprofessional. This experience has made me lose trust in the practice.

If I could give no stars I would!! I’m not one for leaving negative reviews but I feel this needs to be said as we don’t want anyone else’s animal suffering needlessly. We transferred to this vets when we moved house as it was highly recommended. Two of our animals have been put to sleep here because of health complications and initially the care was brilliant and the staff were compassionate. However, my only living elderly cat has been diabetic for around 3 years now. Since bringing her to this vets we’ve been nothing but messed about. They point blank refused to up her insulin for months even though she was showing signs of being very unwell. We paid for blood tests almost every two weeks and they kept saying that her blood sugars were raised significantly but they wouldn’t increase her insulin without more blood tests and a glucose monitor. This went on for months and in the end even my parents became suspicious regarding their intentions and how they just wanted money. I have heard this from other reviews and customers recently. We agreed to have the glucose monitor put on at another £180. It didn’t work from day one we emailed the vets as instructed with the limited readings we got we were ignored. We were rung once in the whole two weeks it was on even though my cats blood sugar were as high as they could get within this time. This was to say the vet would be on holiday but someone else would ring. Again no one rung that week and my cat continued to suffer. We were then called a week before Christmas to say we will up it by half a ml but you need to pay another £180 to have it on for another two weeks. At that point we refused as it was obvious it was all about money and not my cats health you didn’t use the data within the two weeks. We took the decision to up the insulin ourself back to what the old vets had her on. My cats sugars and health has vastly improved since doing this and she is now doing well under the care of another vets. The most disgusting part of all this is we waited 3 weeks to have the monitor taken off her skin as we didn’t want to hurt her for Arundell to take her away and rip her skin taking it off. This was after they made us wait over an hour after our appointment time in the waiting room with boisterous dogs terrifying my cat, they then had the cheek to charge us a fee for cancelling an appointment which we had to as my daughter is pregnant and needed to go to triage. We wouldn’t have minded but we had just waited over an hour for our appointment. Coming to the insurance part we paid the £14 admin fee the last day we visited the vets as we knew at that point we were moving vets ASAP. We waited weeks hearing nothing we rung back to be told oh we’ve not put it through yet happy to take my money for it weeks before though. All the staff are miserable and not interested in the animals one bit. The manager also talked about a staff members sickness record in the busy waiting area which is extremely unprofessional, no one looks happy to work at this place. We have since visited another vets to have my daughters cats booster vaccinations done at a fraction of the price Arundel were going to charge her may I add, the new vets are lovely and what you would expect in a vets making fusses of animals and caring about their wellbeing. We wish we had left Arundel months ago instead of continuing to fund their incompetence and lack of compassion, if there was a way of reporting this vets we would!!

I can not recommend this vets enough especially Maddie and Rosie. My elderly dog Chip has become unwell recently and has been having regular appointments alongside an operation as part of his treatment. All the staff have been amazing from the minute I walk through the door with Chip they all fuss him and show him love. Due to Chips age i was worried about leaving him and wanted to make sure he was taken care off as my anxieties around this were very high. Maddie and Rosie were absolutely fantastic! They talked me through what would happen and promised they would give Chip plenty of cuddles while he was with them. This means the world to us as Chip is a big part of our family. I can not thank everyone enough for how they have looked after not only Chip but me too. Highly recommended if you are looking for a vets that will love and take care of your pets as if they were their own.
