We had to bring our 10year old French bulldog in today to have some teeth extracted. I have to say on arrival it was lovely calm practice which definitely helped with an older doggie. We’ve just collected him and the vets here have been so thorough, not only doing a great job on he’s teeth, but they’ve given gone through all he’s blood work and more and we really do feel at ease. On top of this, the bill we received was extremely fair and unlike others I felt was worth every penny. I would highly recommend the practice to anyone in need! Thanks again Anderson Vets!

As a rescue we have a lot of emergencies and they always see us as soon as they can on that day. The teams both in reception and the vets and nurses are very friendly and efficient. We are confident they do their best for the animals in their care

Our vets are everything you need. Everyone who works there are very kind, really sympathetic and always make space for my many animals when they need to come.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration following my recent experience at your practice, which I found both unprofessional and distressing. After my dog was involved in a road traffic accident, I rushed to your clinic in an emergency, expecting prompt and compassionate care. Instead, I was shocked to find that not only was my dog not examined or even touched, but I was immediately told nothing could be done as the practice was closing and I should go to your out-of-hours service—at a significant cost. It was only after I mentioned that I had a credit card that further contact was made. What is even more concerning is that the suggestion was made to sedate my dog without first checking any vitals or conducting any form of examination. This approach is not only unprofessional but could have seriously endangered my dog's life. At one point, I was even asked to put the stethoscope on my dog myself, which I found entirely inappropriate. Despite spending less than a minute in the consultation room and receiving no assessment or help for my dog, I am now being chased for a £65 fee. I do not believe it is fair to be charged for a service that was never provided; my dog was never even looked at, and the focus appeared to be solely on payment rather than care. Under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Code of Conduct, vets have a clear duty to provide emergency first aid and pain relief to any animal in distress, regardless of whether or not the owner is a regular client. I have reported this incident to the RCVS, and I would encourage others who have had similar experiences to do the same, especially if they have lost pets as a result of a lack of care. It was extremely disappointing to witness such a lack of empathy and compassion at a moment when my pet needed it most. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and reflect on the standard of care being offered at your practice. I expect reply back to this review with a load of nonsense & lies as I can see from their previous replies. DO NOT USE THIS VET

  • I have been bring my cats to Anderson Vets, Orpington for nearly 15 years. They have always been professional, kind and very warm. The past 6 months both my cats have been poorly and need expert treatment. Only through their diabetes, heart and eye issues have I seen the incredible skill and breadth of knowledge in this practice. I am eternally grateful to the team, especially Alex for your help and support.
