  My wee Lhasa Apso was poorly last Friday and Allan’s vet were great and could see him that afternoon. Gillian the vet was very attentive to our dog and shared our concern, he got some medicine and we went home, however I didn’t feel he was quite right once home, so called vets and was asked to bring him back down and he was seen promptly and attended too. Gillian advised he would be best going to small animal hospital for fluids as was mildly dehydrated, Gillian put cannula in and done bloods before hand and off we went to animal hospital. Thankfully our dog has made full recovery from his gastro bug, thanks to Alan’s vets and the small animal hospital for sorting our boy out.

  Nothing but good things to say for allans. Both my dogs have a ridiculous habit of finding the most random things and eating it and allans is always so patient with my 20 calls per week🤣! One of my dogs is quite mean, and the girls are always so patient with him. He loves the ladies at reception but is mean to his vet who still treats him with kindness. They've been a great support for our dogs and I wouldn't trust anywhere else. They've never had me spend money if it wasn't absolutely necessary and will tell me if it's a waste to do something. Appa and Freya love visiting and getting fussed and eating treats. Great vet❤️.

  Treated with kindness and empathy when I took my 19-year-old cat Misty in, as her breathing had got heavier. Unfortunately there was nothing to be done but she was treated gently and myself with understanding. Thanks to all the team for your kindness and thoughtful card received a few days later

  Having been a client for over 20 years, multiple animals, never issues with payments etc I was left devastated when I asked to split up a bill, half now half in 12 days when I get paid for my 16 year dog. They did this for me before so I was shocked when it was a flat no. Not willing to let my dog suffer for 12 days, I called another vet who were appalled and let me know that as my dogs vet, Allan’s should have a ‘duty of care’ and should be seeing the dog. She gave me the number for the sspca who used to have a service for people in my position to get pets seen when you hit hard times. However they closed the service. The welfare officer was so nice and she also said she was shocked that a vet that the dogs been going to his whole life is refusing to see him without payment in full. A bit about me - I have recently lost my whole family, my gran and then my mother a few months later. My mother passed suddenly at Christmas and had no life insurance so I was left to cover the entire funeral costs, along with paying for her house to be cleared and then I was evicted from the family home so the lawyer could sell it so I just moved house, I myself don’t have all the essentials for myself but make sure the animals are taken care of. Hard times happen to everyone and sometimes when you least expect it - I explained ALL of this to the person that answered the phone. I wasn’t asking for a freebie I was offering £70 and to pay the remainder £50 in 12 days. Which was really embarrassing to do in the first place, I pride myself in caring for my pets. Heartless not only to myself as a human Being that’s lost everything but for a 16 year old dog that’s suppose to be under their care and has been attending them since he was 12 weeks old. I will be ending my service with them and have moved to the other vet that spent over an hour trying to help me and was lovely and caring - as vets should be.

  Our dog Luna needed emergency surgery. Was taken in, operated on, and returned to us withing a day. Full recovery and tiny scar even though she required a large incision. Impressed with the service, and grateful for the response time. Customer for life.
