  Can’t thank the team at Vita enough, they looked after our mini dachshund Roxy with such care throughout her IVDD treatment! Our vet referred us to Vita and an appointment was scheduled for within two hours. On arrival Stuart assessed Roxy, explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, and really put us at ease. She was quickly scanned to agree the best way forward, and stayed overnight for surgery the next morning. We were relieved to receive a call from Stuart after to explain how the surgery had gone and that it was successful. The nursing team took fantastic care of our little pooch and kept us updated via PetsApp throughout, which was a great reassurance. We received exceptional service and were treated with genuine compassion from start to finish, all while the costs were much lower than other referral vets in the area. A huge thank you to Stuart, Lucy, Harriet, Rob, Nicki, and everyone at Vita who supported us and cared for Roxy. She’s now back home and recovering well. The nurses who discharged her gave us a clear plan to follow, and she’s already making great progress, walking with a sling and toileting independently on her first day back. We would highly recommend Vita to anyone!

  Amazing!!! We were referred by our vets after our French bulldog Esther got a bad case of IVDD in her neck, she,was in agony with it and to see her in so much pain was heartbreaking. Vita fit us in straight away and operated the same day. Rob did the surgery and talked me through everything, I felt confident that the surgery would help her and she was in very safe hands. I was allowed to pick her up the next day with all the support of medication and advice. Esther came out a totally different dog to how bad she was when she went in, they are fantastic and I would recommend to all. Throughout her stay from start to finish the team have been marvelous, from the lovely receptionist to the fantastic Vet Rob, I can't praise enough. I was kept informed by Megan on the pet app, she sent updates and pictures so I could see she was so well looked after. Esther is one week in and doing brilliantly! It really really helps there is a fixed price for the operation, so no extras added on, it's all included. Worth every penny for the treatment Esther got. Thanks Vita referrals 🫶

  Our springer spaniel, Willow developed a limp to her front leg which our vet said could possibly be a fracture to her elbow (HIF). She recommended a CT scan and after recommendations from friends in our agility club, we decided to go to Vita Referrals. We were booked in more or less straightaway for Willow to have her scan which did determine she did have a fracture. We saw Stuart the surgeon who thoroughly explained the next step to us and Willow was booked in the following week for surgery. Willow was looked after very well throughout and we were able to pick her up and take her home within a few hours. The vet nurses fully explained Willow’s aftercare with us and we could contact them anytime on the Pet App. Willow has since been back for follow up X-rays and everything has healed well and she is now on the road to recovery and will hopefully be back doing agility and canicross in the coming months. Cannot recommend them enough for their care of Willow.

  We cannot thank Vita Referral Vets enough for the incredible care they gave our young puppy during his full hip replacement surgery. From the very first consultation, the entire team was compassionate, professional, and reassuring during what was an incredibly stressful time for us. The surgeons and staff explained everything clearly, kept us updated throughout the process, and treated our puppy as if he were their own. The level of expertise and attention to detail was outstanding, and the results have been life-changing for him. Seeing a young dog regain comfort, mobility, and happiness after such major surgery is amazing. Every member of the team — from reception to the veterinary specialists and nurses — was kind, patient, and genuinely caring. We always felt supported and confident that our puppy was in the very best hands. We are so grateful for the skill, dedication, and compassion shown by everyone at Vita Referral Vets and would highly recommend them to anyone needing specialist veterinary care.

  Vita referrals were wonderful. My mini dachshund has recovered well after surgery 6 weeks ago. The surgeon Nick was very reassuring and spent lots of time with us to talk through surgery, and afterwards on the phone too. My own vet spoke very highly of those at Vita referrals. Communicating with them was very easy through the app and response times were excellent too. They were very kind, and they sent lots of pictures of her throughout her three days with them. The nursing staff were wonderful, Daisy loved them and I felt less stressed knowing they were giving her lots of love and attention. Having experience with previous dachshunds with IVDD, and the costs involved for their surgery, I thought the fixed pricing was great. It was one less thing to think about during that stressful time and I felt that the cost is very fair. I would highly recommend Vita referrals for all of these reasons.
