  Having found Vale Vets many years ago, I could not let this pass without expressing our thanks to your new vet Harry. Our cat had suddenly developed a severe limp and Harry with his lovely calm reassurance, diagnosed the problem quickly and the medication soon had Sweet Woodruff walking normally.   We have seen maybe 4 different vets across our 2 dogs. Every one has been fantastic. Really thorough investigation, proactive, listened to our concerns, and provided actionable advice. We are particularly grateful to vet Rob for alternative suggestions on medications/treatment for one of our dogs, who has chronic allergies, which have made a huge difference to her comfort. I highly recommend Vale Vets Portishead!

  My dog became unwell last week, his back legs failed him and I knew it was time to say goodbye. My dog and I are new to the area (one week) so I hadn’t registered with a vet yet. I didnt have an appointment as when it happened I just bundled Jasper into the car. The team here were all so lovely and understanding. Especially as once I’d said goodbye they told me to go home and sort the bill out later. Such a simple gesture but it meant a lot, I was in no fit state to be making payments. They also sent a lovely card with some seeds to plant.

  We had to come to Vale vets out of hours last week due to our dog Buddy being unwell. They got us in quickly. The vet was very transparent, gave us all possible outcomes and time to think about what we wanted to do without feeling hurried. We decided it was in our dogs best interest to let him go with some dignity and not let him suffer on. We were so grateful that they waived the emergency fee for us due to it being a straightforward consultation. We received Buddy’s paw prints today along with a little card and some sunflower seeds. Such a thoughtful touch- thank you!
