Sapphire was brilliant when registering my new puppy. Appointment booked for today for 1st vaccination, payment seemed reasonable, payment scheme was good and much better initial impression than vetcall in station road.
Read on Google →Significant decline in standards - stay away! I have been bringing my cat to this practice since he was a kitten - he is now nearly 11 years old. When it was known as The Vet, the standard of care was good. However, since the rebranding to Pet Vet and the change in ownership, the quality has declined significantly. I was a long‑standing client and recommended countless people to this practice, something I now genuinely regret. The layout is poorly designed, and the reception process is very disorganised. On my most recent few visits I waited for around ten minutes with no acknowledgement from any staff member. Despite their stated procedure that “we’ve introduced deskless receptions in all of our surgeries to allow our client experience coordinators to offer a more personalised approach to both our customers and pets” - I can assure you that this has never happened. Staff remain in a small office area, leaving clients standing for ages without any communication or guidance. The administrative side is equally poor. No proper invoice or breakdown of costs is provided. Only a basic transaction receipt. There have been times where the receptionists have been confused whether a deposit had been taken or not, and no one seemed able to explain it properly. For a veterinary practice, this level of confusion and lack of transparency is unacceptable. The clinical care has also declined. Routine examinations are no longer thorough, and important issues are being missed. My cat’s plaque build‑up on his teeth (something that should have been identified/ seen during a standard check) was overlooked entirely, resulting in an unnecessary return visit and additional cost. I have since moved to a reputable veterinary practice in Chingford, and the difference in professionalism, communication, and attention to detail was immediate and significant. If you love your pets, please stay away!
Read on Google →The vet station fixed my pointers ACL in her left leg. They quoted 1000 less than other vets and Vanessa who operated on my Pointer in 2023 so far has succeeded in giving my Pointer a happy and energetic life, off the lead all the time I am concerned but let her do what she wants to do. Hunt . Thanks to Vanessa she is a very happy dog 14 months in Cornwall on the beach and now back in Wimbledon spending every day running wild on the common. A massive Thank you. However the insurance wouldn’t pay out!!!! Shocking any excuse and this will deter any pet owner. It’s the insurance companies that will stop people from owning pets . Honestly I wouldn’t have another dog. I rented a room out in my house and scraped to pay for her op. £5000 !!! Took me a year to pay it off and I had insurance. That was cheeper than any other vet. Insurance for pets is shocking they won’t pay when ever they can get away with it. I pray she doesn’t do the other leg .🤞
Read on Google →I have been going there for about four years, starting with my older cat. I always knew their services were expensive, but I never avoided spending money because I thought they took good care of my pet. That was until I got my second cat. She’s just a baby, and she had discharge in her eye, so I went in with that complaint. They looked at her eye and gave me antibiotic drops, then told me to come back. I went for a second visit, but the problem continued. They suggested a test, but they couldn’t guarantee anything. Since it was very expensive, I postponed it. Then they told me to keep using the drops, which I did exactly as instructed. Later, the color of the discharge changed, so I took her again. This time another doctor examined her. They poured some liquid to check the eye but still couldn’t see any issue. Honestly, they seemed to have no idea what they were doing because they were searching on the internet right in front of me — unbelievable! The doctor suggested the test again, and I finally agreed. We did the test, and everything came back clear. By that point, I had already spent £680, and my cat’s eye was still the same… Then I researched with ChatGPT, and it suggested that her tear duct might be blocked. I went back to the vet again and asked if this could be the problem. They said “maybe” and checked and it turned out her tear duct was blocked. They recommended surgery, and I agreed. She had the surgery, but the problem still wasn’t solved. Today we had an appointment. I was 15 minutes late, and they refused to take me in. The staff (Sue) were singing Christmas songs and having fun with the elderly man in front of me, but when she saw me, she didn’t even smile. Even though the clinic was empty, she told me they were “fully booked” and turned me away. (Not to mention, they never saw us on time for a single appointment, even though we always arrived punctually.) So I’m asking this business: Are you really here to help these tiny lives, or are you just running a money-making operation? My cat has been traumatized, and I have suffered both financially and emotionally. And I’m telling everyone: this place is nothing but a business — do NOT go there!!
Read on Google →First of all big shout out to Sharon and Saphire, they are so lovely. Wanted to cuddle them. Love this vet praxis and already my second time here. Unlike many others in London here they pick up the phone and are super friendly! Gets better, they even have appointments on short notice or within a few days. Alba the Spanish vet is a real gem too. Our Cat Kuhni was very at ease. Having great employees like these really shines through and makes it an experience to remember.
