  I dont have one bad word for this practice. Thank you for helping Charlie cross the rainbow bridge today, I was so hurt and was given so much false hope and he was very badly let down by the previous practice. He was shown the most kindness and respect in his last 2 hours here than they had for him in 6 / 7 months. The vet who handled him today, thank you. Thank you for listening, thank you for caring and thank you for giving me upto 2 hours to say goodbye and to hold him. I am so touched by everything by the silence in the whole practice as I held him for his last moments. Your kindness has very touched my heart. They was no judgement regarding pricing, instead their was love, kindness and understanding. Thank you for loving my cat in his last moments the same way I did. I am happy knowing the rest of my fur babies will be receiving the best treatment. The previous practice judged the number of pets I had, here hasn't. Instead they understood and didnt make horrid remarks. The kindness was so appreciated. Thank you so much for treating me like a person who just lost her soul baby and for not using me for money like the previous place did. Im happy knowing he passed in such a loving environment. Thank you again. The kindness means everything. I really recommend for everything your pet needs. The best service I could've ever wanted for my boys passing. Thank you endlessly.

  Olivia was amazing with our nervous rescue dog at her vaccination appointment. I was apprehensive to book an appointment this time around, as Bindi gets extremely stressed in the vets and usually has to wear a muzzle when the vet goes near her. Olivia met us for our appointment in the car park and brought out blankets for us to sit on! She made friends with Bindi very quickly, and was so professional and gentle in her approach. The most stress-free trip to the vet we’ve ever had! I wish we would have done this sooner. Thank you Olivia and the lovely Hackenthorpe team 😊

  Our rescue kitten went today, I believe our vet was called Hannah, atleast online thats the name stated - Please pass on a huge thank you for been so gentle with my kitten and understanding his limits. He had a horror at another vets and was surrended to me for not the nicest reason and she was so gentle and kind with him and gave him time to come out, his boundaries was respected and it was so sweet to see someone care about his past and previous trauma to vets. It was a pleasant surprise when he was given some little treats afterwards. I highly recommend this vets from the receptionists welcoming and helpful energy to the actual treatment provided.

  My family and I have used this veterinary practice for many years and cannot express how wonderful the veterinary team are to our pets. Jame’s compassion, kindness, gentleness when examining my son’s rat who was put on palliative care. He wasn’t only there for our pet but also for us. Rebekah the nurse also came to check in on us who is the caret of our pet greyhound as we looked upset. All the receptionists, vets, nurses, everyone involved in the running of the practice deserve 5 stars all day everyday. I wouldn’t go anywhere else with my pets as they treat us all like family 🫶Thank you

  Our first dog Frankie, and a rescue dog is causing us some concern as she is experiencing a phantom pregnancy. We have visited James at Hackenthorpe 3 times for help with this issue and cannot fault his professionalism, care and attention he gives to both us, as first time dog owners and Frankie. He is reassuring us that we are doing all the rights things, he is offering advice and knowledge and is explaining what he is investigating first before he goes into further investigations should they be required. We were advised by friends to use Hackenthorpe Vets and would not hesitate to recommend them to other pet owners. Rebecca has also gone above and beyond to give us first hand advise on getting Frankie through this difficult time. Big thank you’s to all the staff who are all very pleasant and helpful.
