Brought my cat Charlie in to be castrated. It ended up being a little bit more complex than initially thought. The team were fantastic and treated him with so much love and kindness. They kept me up to date with how he was doing and soothed any anxiety I had regarding his surgery. He’s healing very well and I am so grateful. Truly couldn’t ask for a better team of people to look after him, and couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you!

I took Winston to the vet today and unfortunately he passed away :( The vet and the girls were absolutely brilliant from switching from normal to emergency response was something I've not experienced but it really made me realise what important work they really do. Thank you to all at Skelmersdale Veterinary Practice for all the hard work you do to keep our animals healthy.

I had to make the hardest decision today to put my beautiful girl Kali to sleep ❤️ After the last few weeks of her being poorly, the kindest decision was to let her go. In this time, I have been astounded by the care, compassion and professionalism of the staff working at Skelmersdale Veterinary practice. They all gave so much to making her comfortable and looked after, going above and beyond and trying everything in their power to help her get better- meanwhile taking care of us humans too. Unfortunately it was situation where nothing could be done for my girl, but I have the peace of mind she was in the best care - and genuinely loved from staff here. Thank you all involved in kalis care ❤️ I would highly recommend this practice to those with pets, and will continue to bring Kalis son here hopefully for many years to come

I changed from my previous vet of 4 years and I am so glad I did my dog luna had been suffering from ear infections chewing her paws scratching and scooting her bottom along the floor.I had paid for monthly infections tablets home remedies but as soon as I went to skelmersdale vets they did swabs advised change of food prescribed a trial medicastion all with in the first visit and said she was suffering from yeast infection caused by allergies, all that did not cost me as much as one injection at my previous vets. We are now 4 weeks into the treatments luna has been back for a review she is 80% improved we are still trying different medications to keep her allergies under control but I couldn't be happier

We have nothing but admiration for Jac and all her staff . Our Cav Ruby was deteriorating though not in pain but had other underlying health issues, she was thirteen and a half so surgery was out of the question. Jac was going away for three weeks and we didn’t want to have to take Ruby to an out of hours vets If she deteriorated even further , we made a decision to have her put to sleep , a very difficult decision but it was done before Jac went away. The kindness , concern and professionalism shown made it much easier for us at the time . So it’s a massive thank you to Jac and all her staff from me Carol and our family .
