Brought my boy in today to go to sleep :( he had quite a quick-onset serious problem and was deteriorating steadily but was suffering. I experienced an immense amount of compassion right from reception. The lady who I met first was very kind and sensitive and offered us a quiet room. I have asd so I really appreciated this so i had a safer space to unmask and cope. He was taken for his cannula and I was shown to the farewell room where I could spend some precious time and talk to him. The vet who did it for us was very kind and patient and explained everything to me from what's going to happen to what happens next. I felt no pressure at all. I held him for the last time, I was given space and he had his dignity preserved from start to finish. Another lovely vet took him for some of the most beautiful prints and a little bit of his fur. She listened to little things about him attentively and I found her presence soothing. I can't express my gratitude for every member of staff today who met me and my Thomas. I will love and miss him forever. Thank you PDSA xox
Read on Google →Reception ladies lovely and the vet was really nice. The lady I saw to collect my cat seemed a little lost but went out their way to help and ensure we left with everything we needed. Only issue really was a weird smell in the building
Read on Google →We tried to register our dog here, told us would take 2 days to complete. ENDED UP TAKING A WHOLE WEEK!! 😡😡😡Told us that our dog may have a sickness bug and didn’t even offer to look at her when she wouldn’t eat at all, could not walk properly, constantly throwing up, had a lump on her leg whoxh was very OBVIOUS signs of cancer. However got in touch w a proper vets and they offered to see her exact same day. All I’ve got to say is there completely USELESS and r.ip to my Elsa 🥺🥺😢😢
Read on Google →Honestly cant thank them enough, took my boy in when he become to look unwell and not want to move. They kept him in for 3 days, he had surgery (which showed nothing) but he was very unstable for a couple of days and i really thought we was going to loose him. Forever grateful for the effort they put in to help him. And grateful the answered my calls 100 times a day to check in on him when i was so worried. Brunos back home and is back to his normal self today.
Read on Google →Took one of our cats Bertha who was 14 through as she wasn't right, got there at about 12.30, On reception was a lovely lady. Managed to see a vet who was lovely said our cat needed a scan and bloods doing, also Bertha was put on oxygen. then waited what seemed like for ever, to get the BAD news that it could be a tumour and they didn't think our bertha could handle the operation. So we decided to have her put to sleep, I stayed there while my wife went to pick our son up in Barnsley. Bertha was fetched in and we all petted her and loved her, my wife and son said there good bye's and I stayed with her my little fur baby Bertha went to sleep for the last time. Would have liked to have took our cat local but it was after hours and this was the only vet open. And our cat was in distress. We then said we would like Bertha cremated and put in a nice box. Staff was very helpful and had empathy.
