My one cat and one kitten came in to be neutered. When I got them back they weren’t given cones because they have “maternal instincts” however the open wound is extremely prone to infection and the stitches can rip open if the cats bite it or lick it too often. This made me very upset as cones should be provided for both cats to ensure nothing happens to the wound during the healing process, which takes two weeks. I had to spend hours watching my cats so they didn’t fight or lick it which was very hard as I was constantly having to get up and constantly having to move them away from each other. This was very unprofessional, BUT this is the worst bit…. My older cat came home WITH FLEAS. SHE CAUGHT FLEAS FROM THE RSPCA. This was absolutely DISGUSTING to find out. I witnessed a flea crawl right over her surgery incision which is SO dangerous and I am so disappointed and horrified that this has happened. She has flea debris falling OFF OF HER FUR showing how severe the flea infection is. I don’t know what happened to my cat to catch fleas from this place. She has never gone outside, no one has come to the house and my dog doesn’t have fleas. Only my older cat, proving it’s from the rspca. I am actually so disgusted with how rude the staff were. In addition to giving my poor cat fleas, they also switched up the cats names on their carriers 2x after repeatedly asking if the same mistake wouldn’t happen again. The staff never answer the phone, and when they do they are very rude and disrespectful. I am calling the vets to be informed about my cat, so they shouldn’t argue with me because I don’t know certain things. They make me feel very belittled. I am so mad that this has happened considering I paid for ONLY THE PROCEDURE. I DID NOT PAY to give my cat fleas. I will never ever be going any money to this facility ever again and I hope somebody shuts them down because this is disgusting, neglectful and SO unhygienic.

A valuable asset to the local community. They provide a much needed service & without them many owners would have nowhere to go in case of emergencies.

I had to sadly get my gerbils euthanised today & it was a very sad distressing thing to do especially not having the option to be there to support my beloved gerbils. I didn’t want to witness it but I would’ve liked to know I could’ve if I wanted to support them both during this time However the vet was very kind and reassured me very much that I had done a good job caring for My beloved buddy and shredder. I just thank there being an option for veterinary care for me at an affordable cost. Whoever this vet is please tell her thank you she was so kind and she made me feel like I done a good job caring for my gerbils. Thank you so much for being so helpful all of the staff and receptionists when I’ve called I’ve had help straight away when I’ve needed it thank you so much for your help throughout this journey of ill health with my gerbils and helping me at the end. I wish well for you all.
