  Fantastic place..I can't rate this high enough. All the staff love animals and it shows. It's the 4th time my Hearing Dog has stayed here as an inpatient! He's had a ligament repair plus major orthopaedic surgery in 2018 and was rushed in with a cancer scare in May 2023, thankfully it was gall bladder issues and last week I had to rush him there. He's been very ill but is starting to recover. He would have had to stop being a working dog in 2018 if he hadn't had that surgery. This hospital liaises really well with assistance dog charities and insurance too. It's a good place to visit. Excellent parking facilities, decent toilets and a drink machine. Plus paper tissues everywhere as they understand how emotional owners get. You can travel here by public transport but takes longer than by car depending where you live. I travelled back in June 2023 for my dog's check up on public transport from Essex! I'm posting their PowerPoint slides that's in the client seating area. Very helpful to read. Photo is of one of the vets and my dog, who has a drip line attached. My dog was very ill with pancreatitis and horrendous pain and they worked to get that under control. Big thank you to them for everything they do. The whole site is wheelchair friendly.

  My dog needed emergency eye surgery and was referred to the QMH. The hospital is modern and clean, staff is helpful and friendly, vets and nurses are knowledgeable and clearly love animals. Almendra, my dog, felt really comfortable at the hospital and trust me that's great as she hates to go to the vets. We both highly recommended. Special shout to the ophthalmology team :)

  I honestly cannot thank the team at the Royal Veterinary College enough for what they did for our dog, Doodles. Doodles was transferred to them critically ill with IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anaemia) after collapsing at home. We were told without treatment she would die within hours. She needed blood transfusions just to keep her alive long enough for the medication to have a chance to work. From the moment she arrived at the RVC, she received incredible care. Every member of staff treated her with compassion, urgency, and professionalism. They investigated every possible underlying cause, kept us updated throughout, and most importantly gave our girl a chance when the outlook was very uncertain. There were moments where euthanasia discussions were being had because she was so critically ill, yet the team never stopped fighting for her whilst she was fighting too. Today, she is home, recovering well, playing again, following us around the house, and gradually becoming herself again — something that genuinely did not feel possible at one stage. A special thank you also to the ICU team and everyone involved in her blood transfusions and ongoing care. We will never forget what you did for her, or for us. You didn’t just treat a patient — you saved a family member ❤️

  When my dog Milo was diagnosed with IVDD, I was overwhelmed and scared. The entire team here was incredibly supportive and kind. They explained Milo’s condition and treatment options in a way that was easy to understand and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable with each step. What stood out most was their honesty—they prioritized Milo’s recovery without pushing unnecessary or costly procedures. Thanks to their care and guidance, Milo was given the time he needed to improve, and I felt supported throughout the process. I can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and compassion. Surgery done so now hoping for a speedy recovery for him. Special thanks to Diogo who was outstanding! 🙏 Highly recommended this place!

  Been there with my cat Kimmy… But all i can say is… I was impressed from the moment i walked in. The hospital is clean, Well taken care of, Different waiting areas for dogs and cats.. And the staff..? Cannot thank them enough for everything they do. I met George, he took care of Kimmy, and i cannot thank him enough for his kind support and help . Thank you everybody ! I cannot thank them enough for everything they do! Well done !!! Highly recommend!!! 🙏🏻
