In the 5 years I have brought my dog to the Pattenden clinic, I have found the team from receptionists, nurses to vets to be caring, passionate and helpful. Whether it’s been a regular appointment or an emergency, they have given us sensible, practical advice or options. I’ve never felt rushed or unsupported, thank you to all. I will continue to recommend Pattenden to friends or anyone who asks.

Have used this vet's since my dogwas a puppy and have found them friendly and efficient. Rob is great. However my latest visit was unfortunate. The vet Laura was rude. She greeted us with undisguised reluctance. My dog had a nasty cut pad. He was agitated and lively which lead her to accuse us of not exercising him enough. Not true . This before even greeting us or asking us about his wound. She then implied that if we were not fit enough, we would need a dog walker. All of this was unfair and unjustified. My husband and I felt very offended. We will use this practice again but never this vet.

I HAD An Awful Experience with this practice using the vet Lara. Her whole attitude towards my case was truly appalling from start to finish. An utter disgrace! My complaint against her has been very dismissive, she twisted the situation into her favour with her replies to me. Based on my experience and that of others I have since spoken to, I would not recommend this practice. I feel so strongly about this and the effect it would have to others treated like this I am taking official step's against her. If you have an imported rescue dog do not feel pressured by her to have the Brucilla test, I am now using a different practice who are fantastic, total opposite to her. I can however highly recommend Little Hoppers as an alternative.

Absolutely appalled by my experience. I received a voicemail telling me I had to pay £125 upfront or my dog’s appointment would be cancelled. By the time I called back, it already had been. When I queried the amount, I was told it covered not only the consultation but also treatment and medication, before my dog had even been seen or assessed. Wanted her ears checked. I explained I was more than happy to pay upfront for the consultation and ear check, but demanding advance payment for treatment and medication that may not even be required is unreasonable, unprofessional, and completely against what I’d expect from a caring veterinary practice. Good practice should always be to examine the animal first, then discuss the treatment not to demand money for something that hasn’t even been diagnosed without having even seen my dog. Which I explained and assured them payment after consultation was not a problem for treatment The focus here was clearly on money before welfare, which left me no choice but to go elsewhere. Saddened, disappointed, and shocked at how transactional and uncaring this approach was. Pet owners deserve far better, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere if you value compassion and proper veterinary care.

Always brilliant with our Bernie. Really helpful on the phone and being part of the pet club to get his regular medications.
