Our dog was presenting with a limp dropping tail and clearly miserable. We called Old Registry on a Sunday and were offered an appointment same day. Our dog was examined, diagnosed and treated quickly and the fee was very reasonable. To be able to be seen on a Sunday without a huge callout fee is amazing. The team are all fab but sadly put up with a lot of negativity rather than praise. We have used Old Registry for years and always found the vets to be brilliant.

Excellent service for our dog Tom We was worried about the time he was there but was reassured Tom was OK. Tom had picked up a grass seed in one of his paws but it was embedded in and we was given a couple of scenarios price wise. Tom had the seed removed under sedation and when I picked him up the price was half of the worst case scenario. Thankyou to all at the old registry vets 👏

Absolutely shocking overpricing. Suspected our 5 yr old Brit was suffering from Pyometra so tried to book an appointment. Was told we could have an emergency appointment same day. About £75 rings a bell. Asked when next available normal price booking was and was told following day so we booked. Surprise surprise. A phone call to say they could get her in at 3.30 that day. I wonder if by chance that would of been the time for the emergency booking? Then it gets worse. Charming knowledgeable young vet checks her over and has same suspicions as us re pyometra. Would need an ultra sound to confirm. When asked how much we were looking at if she needed the op was told including hospitalization we were looking at £2.5 to £3k. She was told no way should it ever be anywhere near that price and told her to do the scan and confirm but we would be ringing around for quotes for the op should it be needed. Unfortunately diagnosis was as feared but she had in meantime spoken to her boss and if we were willing to wait for next day. As in normal hours they could do it for around £1500 ish providing everything went ok. We paid the £160.00 bill for the ultra sound, consultation and antibiotics we insisted on to at least give her a chance. Within five minutes I had our Effie booked into a vet in York for 08.00 this morning. At 09.00 they called me to say she was out of surgery and all had gone well and she was sleeping it off. At 10.00 I was called to collect her. Was given all the advice needed and the medication she needed. £650 Yes Old Registry. £650. On what planet did you come up with your prices? £650 hurts but is do able. £3k is at the mark where you say die in pain or euthanasia. As is, now my pet is home and recovering. You should be ashamed of yourselves especially as you pride yourselves as being independent. I think even Medivet would be cheaper than you. Truly truly shocking.

Friendly reception staff. We have seen three different vets and they were all very caring. David explains things very well and takes the time to listen. My yorkie had a major operation last year, he was diagnosed and operated on the same day. The aftercare was brilliant too. I would highly recommend the practice.

George my Doberman is always relaxed when visiting Old Registry vets, George has had epilepsy for over 9 months now, they diagnossed George very quickly and sorted the tablets that control his fits. We visit on a regular basis and all staff are fantastic.
