Our lovely wee twenty-month Cat Rainsby had gone off his food, and was quite glum. We got a quick appointment in Nairn, and Jamie gave him a thorough examination and decided on treatment. Jamie was extremely understanding with our Boy, as he is not a good traveller and had disgraced himself. Jamie even bagged-up the mess, and put Rainsby in our spare cat-carrier. We can't thank Jamie enough, and the lovely surgery staff. We also particularly like the surgery for its 'Cat-Area'. Rainsby is a very busy outdoor cat in the countryside, but loves to be in front of the stove. He seems to have made a full recovery, and back to shouting for food at every opportunity. Thank you very much Nairn. Peter and Hazel Davis.
Read on Google →My little dog needs sedation the night before her sedation for her nails clipped, this was my first time taking her to this vet since leaving two other vets last year so I hopped on the waiting list as I was a customer previously with them. For some reason this time sedation didn’t work and my little dog had toileted herself before we sat down she was so frightened. The lovely nurse saw how stressed she was and took me to a room where I could cuddle my dog for an hour while the second sedation set in, once it had she took her away did the nails (very quickly and very short) and then she returned her immediately to me to take her home. This made the whole procedure so much less stressful for my dog and myself, previous vets had locked her in a cage for hours before and after the nail clipping which was unnecessary. This vets treated her with respect, recognised her stress and did whatever possible to reduce the stress. Absolutely lovely nurse thank you for that! I’d also like to mention that the cost of this procedure including the medication was more than HALF the price compared to crown and inshes vets. So now it’s a much more reasonable price I can get it done more often, it’s not often that you leave a vet feeling pleased about the bill. Can’t believe other vets are allowed to charge more than double for the same procedure, absolute cowboys putting cost over the treatment of our pets!!! I’m so happy to be back with this vets, the 15 mile journey is worth it and waiting list wasn’t too long either. Just had my second appointment with this vet to sedate my little dog and clip nails, again these nurses are just angels!! I was able to hold my dog throughout the procedure and take her away straight after, the nurse can recognise just how nervous my dog was and did whatever she possibly could to minimise her time and stress during the appointment, they really do treat our pets as if it was their own pets and the price again was more than half the price of vets in Inverness (crown and inshes) fantastic service from this vet and the atmosphere in reception area is always calming and pleasant. Amazing staff at this vet they really care for your pet, put their needs first and make sure they are extremely looked after. It’s a 30 minute drive for me but it’s definitely worth it, nurses are very good at keeping pets calm before any procedure. Thank you so much 😊
Read on Google →We needed to travel to the EU at short notice. MCVG were simply brilliant at navigating the necessary Animal Health Certificate, and doing so with a competitive fee. Their ongoing care for our now ageing dog is excellent a d we have no hesitation in recommending them.

Read on Google →One of the best vets in the area. Highly regarded. Glad we listened to recommendations when we did as there seems to be a waiting list now- we certainly recommend to anyone who asks. Patient rather than money oriented.
