I'm very satisfied with every aspect of this practice from lovely, helpful reception staff, to good vets and more manageable fees compared to my last practice. I would highly recommend them

Took my elderly cat in because he was showing distressing signs including falling over, not sleeping, incontinence and ripping his hair out aggressively. The “vet” at Margetts combed over him and found two bits of flea dirt. Zero actual fleas. She blamed every issue on this and said he was allergic to fleas and that I should have treated him for fleas. I explained that he has regular treatment and two bits of dirt wasn’t exactly an infestation. Plus my dog and other two cats have zero itching or fleas. This “vet” ignored me. Gave my boy a steroid injection and took bloods. That was it. Over the next 24 hours my cat continued declining. He wasn’t even able to drink. I called them 4-5 times and was told the bloods aren’t back yet and offered no advice or help other than a patronising “bless him” I ended up calling cherry tree who sent a vet to assess my poor boy. She said in her opinion he had all the classic signs of a brain tumour and she was disgusted Margetts had been more interested in taking £200+ for bloods than ending his suffering. He had 16 beautiful years and his last days were so distressing. He went to sleep in my partners arms here at home because cherry tree sent a vet who is capable of doing her job. Unlike the thing Margetts have employed.

Use with great caution, folks. Vet dismissed a life threatening condition in our dog even though we took her for 2 consultations. Vet seemed half-baked and did no work-ups, sent a very sick dog home, with truly devastating results. We are so upset that our dog was dismissed like that, when we knew she was very sick.

I moved to this independent practice as it is better value for money than my previous vet. I have found the staff to be extremely caring and have been very happy with their services including emergency inpatient care for a very sick dog.

My dog fell ill around a year ago, they did their best, gave us advice on where to get cheaper pills - unfortunately she got to bad and we had to put her to sleep, they were very nice and supportive during everything. Thank you looking after missy.
