Got my dog cremated here and ashes in a casket. Everything went well and the staff demonstrated a caring attitude.

Absolutely awful experience: avoid Vets for Pets - Leicester Central I had a booked appointment for 2pm and arrived early. At 2pm the receptionist told me it would be another 10 minutes, which I accepted. By 2:15pm, I asked another receptionist for an update and was told the vet was “busy with someone”. I explained that I had taken time off work and needed to return quickly. She said “another 5 minutes”. I waited another 10–15 minutes, and when I asked again, the receptionist went to the back and returned only to say, “I’m sorry, would you like to reschedule?” with no explanation at all. I asked for the reason, and she said she didn’t know. How can you not know? Why would I reschedule when I booked specifically for today? This is the second time this has happened to me. The receptionist apologised repeatedly, but it meant nothing because clearly nothing has changed. To make it worse, I was told that the vet was busy but she wasn’t even in the practice. So the receptionist lied to me. That’s what made me furious. How can you lie to customers and then apologise as if that makes it fine? Why are they booking appointments for a vet who isn’t even on-site or is running that late? No wonder they have poor reviews. Please, do not take your pets here. The staff showed no empathy, took no accountability, and openly lied instead of giving an honest explanation. Truly disgusting behaviour. I will never use them again. Awful awful people work here.

We saw Maria for vaccination. We have discovered a small gum bleed during a regular check-up. Instead of suggesting simple treatment or cleaning, she immediately wanted to extract the tooth. We noticed a small lump near the tail and she said “if it was at the end, we’d just cut the tail off.” She even laughed and told us to increase our insurance because “it might get expensive.” We went to another vet afterwards – and guess what? Our cat is completely healthy. No infection, no need to remove any tooth, no serious issue with the tail. We left feeling that Maria was trying to push unnecessary and costly procedures instead of caring for the animal’s well-being. Very unprofessional and disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at this practice. After a recent visit with my pet Cosmo, I was shocked to receive an email demanding payment for an “outstanding balance” that I was never informed about during the appointment. I specifically asked the vet, Maria (Amazing Veterinarian), whether there would be any extra charges for the medication, and she clearly told me there wouldn’t be, as Cosmo is on a health plan. At no point was I advised that the medication would incur an additional cost, nor was I asked to pay anything when I left the premises with it. When I tried to resolve the issue by speaking with the practice manager, Frankie, and receptionist, Racheal, I was essentially blamed for a “misunderstanding” — despite explaining exactly what I had been told by the vet. Frankie insisted she was “100% correct” and quoted policy, even though she wasn’t present during the consultation and wasn’t even at work that day (her words not mines). What made matters worse was the threat that if I didn’t pay the balance (£56.74), debt collectors would be sent to my house and further charges would apply. I find this not only aggressive but completely unreasonable given the situation and lack of transparency from their team. This experience has left me feeling incredibly frustrated and let down. Despite Cosmo coming back again for his yearly booster (Appointment scheduled for next month) surely they could have waited untill than, not as if am going to run away. I expected better communication, honesty, and professionalism from a veterinary practice I entrusted with my pet’s care for a few years. Suppose I'll have to twinddle my thumbs and pay. In the interim a complaint has been raised yet awaitng response. Meanwhile transferred to another vetnerian practice. P.s If you fancy frontline rude staff who cant tell there left hand from the right, the feeling of being demoralised like a 2nd class citizen. This would be your place to go!

Best vets I have used and I’ve had dogs for over 40yrs. Friendly helpful staff. Vets cured my 10yr Rottweiler with his ears he’d suffered with since we got him 8yrs ago. They also diagnosed hyperthyroidism that had been missed by previous vets. Everyone makes my boy welcome and he loves his visits. I can’t thank them all enough for giving my boy a new lease of life.
