My regular vet recommended James Street Veterinary Centre as I was trying to get an appointment for Rik, my Kakariki, who'd injured her leg. I was given an appointment the following day. I drove the hour to get there and was seen all but immediately (despite turning up early) it was suspected that Rik had broken her leg & the X-Ray confirmed the prognosis. The options to help Rik were explained to me, and I agreed on trying to pin the leg, not an easy option as Kakariki joints are tiny. I saw the X-Rays after the operation and could see what a fantastic, and hugely complex job that had been done. I would have loved to have been able to say that it was a happy ending but unfortunately Rik didn't come round after the op, she went into cardiac arrest. She'd been through a lot in the previous 24 hours, so I was devastated, but I guess, not hugely surprised. The staff were all amazing, and very sympathetic with a blubbering old lady. I would like to think Kiki will behave and not injure herself, but if ever there's a need, I know the route to the clinic now. Thank you.

the vet we spoke to specifically stated that the fish specialist was in the next day as we needed a fish to be euthanised and we needed specialist information on the other fish, when we arrived the vet (whom was nice and helpful not her fault), said. oh it's a fish... errm yep. she stated pretty much straight away she wasn't a fish specialist but was a reptile specialist... ok. so the poorly fish was euthanised. but as for specialist information no more than we already knew form the forums. so thank you male vet at James street veterinary practice, obviously getting people through the door is far more important to you.. thank you for the wasted 60 mile round trip... oh and £80 which would have been worth while if we were able to get information other than, have you tested for oxygen, Oh we didn't know you could. how do we do that..? vet replied ermm I don't know.......

Our last appointment with Dr Larkin was amazing. My dog doesn't always behave but we managed to get him more relaxed. It was a nice professional talk, treatment and well worth the time. Thank you

Sending a huge thank you to the wonderful team at James Street Vets, in particular vet Molly, for all the care, attention, compassion, patience and professionalism given to our diabetic cat Freddie. He was extremely poorly this time last week and we were close to having to say goodbye. Along with the continued treatment given by the overnight team at East Lincolnshire Emergency Vets, Freddie is now back home, recovering well and starting to show his true character again. We can't thank you enough 🐱🧡
