The Equine Dental Clinic (EDC) is a specialist veterinary practice dedicated to equine dentistry. It offers advanced and specialist referral services, as well as routine dental appointments for horses across the UK. Services include oral extractions, periodontal disease treatment, minimally invasive surgical procedures, and restorative and endodontic therapy. Established in 2013 by Dr. Chris Pearce MRCVS, EDC is staffed by six highly experienced equine veterinary surgeons, including European and RCVS Recognised Specialists in equine dentistry. The clinic boasts a new purpose-built facility and teaching centre that opened in 2022, equipped with advanced imaging capabilities such as a Siemens Somatron 40-slice Computed Tomography (CT) scanner. EDC provides both clinic-based and visiting routine and referral services. They also offer advanced dental, oral, and head surgical procedures. Had Matt Holland out to see my boys today, and I genuinely wouldn’t trust anyone else with their dental care. Matt is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and always takes the time to work with each pony as an individual. Both of my ponies are very wary of people, but Matt is so patient and calm, taking the time to find the approach that works best for each of them. His understanding and kindness make such a difference. As well as being an excellent dentist, Matt is friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in getting to know his clients. He always takes the time to have a chat, making every visit a positive experience. It’s clear he truly cares about both his patients and their owners, and never makes you feel like just another customer. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I’m so pleased that I found the EDC by chance. Chris and Nicole are very professional and provide an outstanding service. All the staff at the EDC are amazing. The whole process from referral to operation was very efficient. Chris explained his findings and course of action to be taken, making the process as stress free as possible. My horse received the highest standard of treatment and was in the EDC’s care for a week. I was updated regularly on his progress. After witnessing the service, care and attention they provide, I highly recommend them. Thank you EDC
