Carrot Tops were excellent when our cat got seriously ill. We noticed he hadn't been eating properly so asked for an appointment. They shuffled things around so that they could see him that day. On seeing him the vet immediately suggested we took him to Woods Hospital in Gloucester as he had serious anemia. We left, phoned the hospital, and were told to go back to carrot tops and get them to take the blood for testing. We returned but the vet was so concerned, she phoned Woods and got an appointment. Took him there, left him overnight, £1060 later, picked him up with no diagnosis other than more tests, more money and a very expensive treatment that might not work. Anyway, we took him home. Feed him with a syringe for a while until the results of another blood test came back. Took him back to Carrot Tops (again they moved things around to get him an appointment that day)they agreed with us that even if we had a bottomless pit of money to spend at the hospital, the probability of him ever getting better was pretty slim. So we had him put down. The vet was very caring, understanding. Okay, our cat died but through no fault of the vets and at all times they put the cats welfare top of the list. Their prices are reasonable and I didn't feel ripped off (unlike Woods!)
Read on Google →After just one visit I know that I’ve found a vets practice that can be fully trusted. Unlike most vets Carrot Tops were there solely to care for my dog (ear infection) . No oh let’s try this , you must buy this . Charges excellent, I honestly can not praise this practice enough
Read on Google →Wonderful! Flexible service and lovely, professional staff. They offer the choice of home visits or visiting be of their local facilities which is so important at the moment. All of our pets are registered with them and we have always found them to be incredibly helpful and kind. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and reliable vet to care for their animals.
Read on Google →Called to book our cat in to be neutered. Asked if it was worth it etc on the phone and told yes, to come in for a checkup and then they will keep him to do the surgery. Turns out it was just a pre pop appointment. Was told there is no point having him done which was not what we were told over the phone and we paid £50 for the privilege. Also we were asked to attend 15 mins before our appointment only to sit in the waiting room for those 15 mins and an extra 5 mins after our appointment time. Staff is friendly but I do feel like they just want to make easy money rather than being helpful to customers. We had our dog put down in this vet and my partner was told not to bring him home and they’d do it there and then so me and my son didn’t get to say goodbye. After the recent service with our cat I’m worried they just did this so that they could make the money on putting him down.

Definitely recommend
