  Rang the vet late for out of hours. Mixed response to be honest. Call was answered quickly. Given advice and I rang again later to give update. This was when things went downhill from my perspective. The receptionist said when I came in my pet would get pain relief. I replied I had already given her pain relief. That's when her whole tone changed. She was extremely patronising and clearly cross with me. In fairness I responded back angry in an extremely difficult situation and she remained calm. However from her response my trust was literally gone in seconds. Not helped by her repeated reminder of the cost and poss other charges I may have. I think she even mentioned about my pet being transferred somewhere else? .......it felt like she was extorting my panic to gain monetary claims. I did not pursue help thankfully as I am afraid there are other reviews about this service that are very negative which the practice has not acknowledged/aware of. Afterwards on reflecting what happened I thought it odd as not once did she ask if my pet was insured.

  We have used this practice as an out of hours emergency today for our four month old puppy. We had initially been sent to Vets Now in Worthing (which was awful) and then subsequently sent here as our puppy couldn’t be treated by them. All the staff we saw at Arun Vets were absolutely brilliant. Compassionate, knowledgable and caring. Didn’t try to force expensive treatment and did what was best for our puppy. Thank you so much. We’re seriously considering registering our pets with you now, as your care is miles above anything else we’ve experienced.

  Wonderful caring & professional staff. I have owned pets for over 50 years and I can honestly say this is the best Veterinary practice I have ever used. The level of attention and time taken to ensure my dog receives the best care makes me so grateful. I feel listened too when I have concerns over my elderly dogs health , this is so important as an owner. Every treatment and medication option is explained along with the cost . Lastly and very importantly my dog is always made to feel special , from the friendly reception staff through to the lovely nurses and wonderful vets .

  I have been a client of Arun Veterinary Group for many years and throughout that time they have provided outstanding care for my pets, from routine appointments right through to more advanced treatment and diagnostics. What really sets AVG apart is that everything is under one roof. Both their hospital and in-house referral service have meant that I’ve never had to be passed between unfamiliar practices for specialist procedures or emergency care. Most recently my cat Bailey needed urgent care and was admitted to the Chichester hospital.  The care he received was exceptional. Not only was the medical treatment first class, but the communication and reassurance I received throughout was outstanding. What also really stood out to me was that the hospital ward team were the same vets and nurses who have treated my pets for years. Knowing the team made such a difference during an anxious time, and it was  so reassuring to see familiar faces caring for Bailey. When he was discharged after very successful treatment, it was obvious they had genuinely spent time with him and got to know his personality and little quirks while he was in their care. That level of attention and compassion meant a huge amount to me. Having continuity with the same veterinary team across routine care, advanced investigations and 24/7 hospital treatment makes such a difference to me. I highly recommend Arun Veterinary Group

  Today our boy crossed the rainbow bridge. We cannot thank the staff enough. Receptionists were all warm, welcoming and compassionate. The vets kept us regularly updated - even in the small hours - to update us of his progress after every treatment. They tried everything to save our boy but alas he lost the battle. We cannot thank the team enough for their professionalism, compassion and determination throughout this sadly short journey 💔💔😘
