  I rang them yesterday, they were not compassionate or caring at all for my dying hamster in her last moments. This vets do not value animal life at all, and only care about money! Please read and avoid this small family vets! I will be taking this further and making reports to where they need to go to, because we were refused emergency assistance, and I knew that she needed to be put to sleep! I live on the same road as this vets, I have 1 dog registered with pets4vets as he has got a lifetime pet plan, and I’ve always thought this vets looked too small, so I’ve usually avoided it. My other little dog registered to Kenford vets. My hamster started losing her hair months ago, she was 2.5 years old, so it was what I thought was old age, then I see a flea on her so treated her for fleas last week and then she burst out in abscesses all over her body a few days later. I don’t think the flea treatment caused this, I think it was something that was coming and perhaps the treatment had made it worse. This weekend she deteriorated very quickly. I tried to get her in yesterday as I knew that she was dying. She wasn’t moving around her cage well and kept falling over onto her back. I told the lady on the phone that she needs to be put to sleep. There was no compassion, I was met with “I don’t see why you’re being told to call us back again” I then told her I couldn’t get to any other vets and this was an emergency, my hamster is suffering and more than likely needs to be put to sleep, she told me that there was 1 vet, 2 nurses, 1 receptionist and 1 manager. I said that the previous vets had told me to call them again because they were the closest to me, all vets have a duty of care for an animal that is suffering and needs to be put to sleep. She then told me “Our duty of care goes to our registered animals only” she didn’t care that she was dying and basically told me there’s nothing they can do because I don’t take my animals there. I appreciate when a practice is very busy and I understand when they are understaffed, but this is absolutely unacceptable. I booked her in at 9am elsewhere, but she passed last night during our night. Avoid this vets like you would the plague!

  We had to euthanise our elderly, arthritic dog yesterday. She was no longer walking or eating & was beyond help. We were met with professionalism, compassion & gentle care. The young vet was extremely kind & made the whole unpleasant process very dignified & respectful. I cannot fault anything & highly recommend them.

  My wife and I HIGHLY recommend Aquarius!!! Our dog Sedona has always been afraid and anxious about going to the vet appointments. However, the staff was so patient with her. More specifically, Lou was very compassionate and spent months socializing her to get used to the process to the point where she looked forward to coming into appointments. The front desk staff was always incredibly kind and helpful, and the primary vet we've worked with Andrea has also had so much grace. We are relocating, and sadly this will no longer be our vet, but they have truly set the bar high for excellent care!!

  Honestly we were disappointed with our experience at Aquarius Vets and ended up returning to Bury veterinary centre who have always been amazing. We have a Labrador with dietary and skin issues. We explained to the vet that he has been on a raw meat diet since around 4 months old ( he is now 3) as when we got him he had worms and was underweight (unfortunately he had not been properly cared for by the breeder) and we had tried so many kibbles but all resulted in an upset stomach for him. We had also done a lot of research into the health benefits of the raw meat diet for dogs and this was approved by our previous vet. The vet proceeded to inform us that kibble is the only good option for dogs and that the raw meat was causing his skin issues, which is very outdated advice and definitely not the case. We felt the vet was quite dismissive and judgemental and we essentially left without knowing the reason for his skin issues. (It was later solved at Bury vets thankfully). Overall would not really recommend.

  Hello. Well I could spend much time telling you just how fabulous this practice is, however I will keep it as short as possible. I have 3 dogs that have all been cared for here ! Yes cared for not treated because they care first treatment is just part of the care they give. One nasty tumor removed that all other vets said he would lose an ear. He still has his ear and is like a new dog. 2nd tumor on gum cared for and fantastic outcome. 3rd Nasal problems again brilliant. Fast appointments when needed. Nothing is too much trouble. They even call a day or two later to ask how your pets are! I feel like they love my pets as much as I do and not once would I consider I'm being over charged or uncomfortable, quite the reverse. Thanks to everyone at Aquarius you are all amazing ✨️
