We have been coming to AlverVets for around 25 years. The practice has always gone above and beyond for my pets. 15 years ago my Spice (dog) managed to get into a black bin and eat a tray of onion Bajis. Spice was kept in as she was very poorly, the lovely vet spent days researching onions in dogs and how to fix, back then it wasn't well known. Ever since, the puppy clubs always mentioned Spice and what onions can do to dogs. Spice went to heaven many healthy (and onion free) years later through old age at the ripe age of 18. More recently my cat had a horrible accident where he had sliced right through his front armpits, AlverVets fixed him, thankfully. In the past few weeks, our old girl, Lucie has been poorly with various issues. The staff have been great, helpful, caring and friendly. With a very special shout out to the lovely vet, Ellie. She is a beautiful soul. Very caring, efficient, helpful and lovely. We love Ellie, as does our little Lucie. From the bottom of our hearts, Thankyou for everything ❤️ 💖

I cannot fault the great service.unfortunately our cat Harvey had to be pts unexpectedly. The care and compassion was great the peace tranquility in which Harvey went was sad and emotional..but alver made it easier.thankyou for your lovely card.

We have been at Alver Vets for years with our Cats and Dog. I have had both cats spayed by alver and the care has been second to none. More recently I have had our French Bulldog neutered and emergency treatment for our cat within a week of each other. The neutering process was super slick and I was kept informed throughout, Brian was spoilt by all the staff because he wooed them with his puppy dog eyes. The emergency was nothing short of amazing I was able to have Diesel the cat seen and treated within 20minutes of her coming home wounded, the whole team were very reassuring to my worry and accommodating to Diesels needs, particularly whilst she was distressed. I was given options of her treatment with clear guidance on costs...which were very reasonable. Pictures of the happy customers!!

Our poor little cat was poorly and we needed to have a vet check her over. The vet had her in within 3 hrs, checked her over and gave us some medication, within the week she had another check up and she is now fine. The vet, receptionist, and set up are all excellent hopefully we won't need them all again too soon. Nice one guys.

Recently our beloved boy became very ill and when we saw the first vet we could not fault her. She showed compassion and cared about our dog. She was shown videos and used those videos to monitor his breathing as like all dogs our George was anxious being in the vets. Blood tests showed he had acute liver damage. Phone in around 4-6 weeks later as started to decline after finishing his medication for another round of blood tests and receive a call from a different vet saying its rare but there was no sign of liver damage. Took George in to be seen, had videos of his breathing to show how he has declined. First we are 30 mins late in for his appointment, nobody from reception even thought to pop their head round to notify us took me saying I was about ti leave for my dog to be seen but the vet paid ZERO attention to the videos. Said my dog had a fever. Within a week my dog has passed away on his 11th birthday. My mum phoned to enquire about him being put to sleep and private cremation to be quoted a minimum of £550+ The receptionist was questioned why their pricing was over £200 more than another vets in the area who actually provide you with more and they could not answer the question I phoned to say my dog had passed away and would be bringing him down. After the family saying their goodbyes we was notified about Final Rest where George was taken. 48 hours later I am yet to hear from the vets to ask why I did not take George in. I pay every month for my dogs into the pet club and the way my dog has been treated is appalling. There are 2 vets in the practice I cannot fault, the rest of them no compassion or care and should be ashamed of how my dog has been fobbed off and left to suffer before taking his final breath all because we dont have lots of money
