Had the unfortunate job of taking my little mini schnauzer Alfie to be put to sleep last tuesday. He was a very special dog to me and had owned him from 8 weeks up until last week at 12 years. From the moment i arrived Alasdair was extremely professional and sympathetic and very caring to Alfie which made the traumatic event easier. A painful day for me but thank you so much for making it better than i expected.

From opening the door to a clean reception I was greeted warmly and directed to the fresh smelling, clean waiting room. The vet was very calming to an anxious dog, who has a loud bark, but took it in her stride to deal with him - very impressed on my first visit, as only moved to the area. Highly recommend!

Have always had the best care and attention for all of my animals small and large. Has been really good having the new surgery in Newton Stewart instead of having to go all the way to Stranraer. Would recommend Academy vets to anyone wanting a first class service for their pets.
