⚠️ Avoid AbbeyVets Manchester Road, Deepcar ⚠️ I took my male cat in today to be castrated and paid a £25 deposit to secure the appointment. After dropping him off, I received a call saying he had a cold and that it would be at my own risk to go ahead with the anaesthetic. Based on their advice, I agreed it would be safer to postpone the procedure. However, I was then told my deposit was non-transferable and that I’d need to pay another deposit to rebook — even though they were the ones who advised against going ahead! When I went to collect Simba, the receptionist was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, especially when I asked why the deposit couldn’t be transferred. Absolutely shocking customer service — I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place and that they train their reception staff to treat customers with a bit more respect.

Just joined Abbey vets with my new german shepherd pup, friends have mentioned before they like using this vets and today I'm very pleased. The vet Stephen was so lovely with the pup making the appointment run really smoothly and could see Togo enjoyed his first visit.

Extremely helpful receptionist who supported us to attain an appointment today when we needed urgent advice for our reactive dog. He wasn’t registered but we’ve now transferred our dogs care to the trusting hands of Stephen who dealt with our scared boy with compassion and professionalism.

I was 5 minutes late to an appointment, once, and was rudely told that they couldn't see me. Any time I've been I've had to wait more than that every single time. Cancelling my standing order and getting them to stop sending me mail after I left was just difficult and I got no end of attitude from the receptionist. Glad to have left.
