Were his brother can be there. Rachel was brilliant I couldn't thank her enough she made sure he was comfty in his bed spoke to him, stroked him I don't think she had much choice he was begging for strokes bless him. Even after she allowed me my own time to say goodbye to him alone aswell before gentle putting him into a basket. I even got a message to tell me when he arrives at final rest what gave me peace at mind that he was there safely. The colour from our lives has diminished, Vinnie was the most gentle, happy, funny, smart and loving little soul and we were so blessed to have him in our lives for nearly 16 years. He was so loved. I want to thank everyone at Final Rest for making Vinnie's passing as comfortable and as peaceful as could be. When Ben arrived Vinnie greeted him and then proceeded to lay down next to him and fall asleep. This was very unusual for Vinnie (not knowing Ben) and in my heart I know that he sensed Ben was there to help him. We were all sitting on the floor, Ben was stroking him and talking to us about Vinnie and his life. Tears and happy memories reminiscing, Nothing was rushed. When it was time Ben talked us through the process, we lay with Vinnie our arms wrapped around him thanking him for being our little protector, that we love him and he was the bestest boy. It was very calm and peaceful, he looked so peaceful, time stood still for a moment. From the first phone call until Ben carefully placed Vinnie into a little bed and wrapped him in a blanket to when we collected his ashes there was nothing but kindness and compassion. Ben is an angel on this earth, such a kind and gentle man. He made the most unbearable day a little bearable. Our hearts are broken and I don’t think life will ever be quite the same for us but we will be forever grateful to Ben and all the team at Final Rest. The team at Final Rest were truly wonderful and compassionate during a heartbreaking time. Our beautiful Teddy had a heart condition but on top of that was diagnosed with lymphoma so we only had 4 more precious weeks with him. When I called Final Rest and explained everything, Lauren was so kind and sympathetic on the phone. She informed me who and what time they would be calling out. Closer to the arrival I was messaged to let me know that Ben would be with us in 15 minutes time. When Ben arrived he gave Teddy a smooth and talked us through everything, asked us if we had any questions and guided us through the whole process and what to expect. It was a very upsetting experience but Final Rest made it so much easier for us to say goodbye in a private way and the best part was Teddy was not nervous at all, he was calm and comfortable because he was in familiar surroundings. And they don’t ask for payment straight afterwards. They leave you to grieve and invoice you a couple of days afterwards which I think is lovely because the last thing you want is for them to hand you a card machine just after you have laid your fur baby to rest. You are all doing a wonderful job of helping people through hard times and we really appreciated Ben for getting us through a really difficult day.
